Ingredients:
2 pork chops (340g total)
2 apples (400g total), sliced
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon (14g) butter
1 tablespoon (21g) honey
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Season the Pork Chops: Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
Cook the Pork Chops: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Apples: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced apples and cinnamon, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 5 minutes until the apples soften.
Add Honey: Drizzle the apples with honey and stir to combine.
Combine Flavors: Return the pork chops to the skillet and cook for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to meld.
Serve & Enjoy: Plate the pork chops and top with the sautéed apples.
Tips:
For added depth of flavor, deglaze the skillet with a splash of apple cider or apple juice when cooking the apples.
This dish pairs beautifully with sides like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh green salad.
Swap honey for maple syrup for a different sweet note.
