Ingredients:
6 taco-sized tortillas
1 lb ground beef (divided into 6 small patties)
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded cheese
Optional Toppings:
Big Mac sauce (or your favorite burger sauce)
Shredded lettuce
Diced white onion
Pickles
Chopped tomatoes
Instructions:
Shape the Patties: Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions and shape them into thin, flat patties slightly larger than the tortillas.
To prevent shrinking: Press patties very thin (about ¼ inch thick).
Pressing trick: Flatten using parchment paper or plastic wrap with a flat-bottomed plate or burger press for even shaping.
Dimple the center: Press a small indent in the middle of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.
Cook the Patties: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
Toast the Tortillas (Optional for Extra Crispiness): Toast tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side until lightly golden.
Add Tortillas to Patties: Place a tortilla on top of each patty while still in the skillet. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Assemble the Taco Burgers: Flip the tacos so the tortilla side is down. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the patty and add your favorite toppings like sauce, lettuce, onion, pickles, and tomatoes.
Serve & Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy immediately.
Tips:
Customize Toppings: Try jalapeños, avocado, rice, beans or your favorite condiments to switch things up.
