Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225 g) frozen gnocchi (any flavor)

  • 1 cup (240 ml) marinara sauce

  • 1/2 cup (100 g) cooked ground beef

  • 1/4 cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 tsp (1 g) garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain any excess grease and set aside.

  2. Cook the Gnocchi: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  3. Heat the Sauce: While the gnocchi is cooking, heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.

  4. Combine the Ingredients: Add the drained ground beef to the marinara sauce and stir to combine.

  5. Add Gnocchi: Stir the cooked gnocchi into the skillet with the sauce and beef.

  6. Simmer: Reduce the heat to low and let everything simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  7. Finish & Serve: Stir in the Parmesan cheese just before serving. Divide into bowls and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Rich Flavor Option: Use whole-wheat gnocchi for added fiber and nutrients.

  • Creamy Variation: Add 1/2 cup of heavy cream or low-fat milk to the marinara sauce for a creamier texture.

  • Extra Veggies: Stir in chopped spinach, mushrooms, or onions for extra nutrition.

  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce for heat.

  • Pairing Suggestion: Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
