Ingredients

  • 1 beef foot (cut into 2–3 pieces)

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 4–5 cups water

  • 1–2 tbsp honey (to taste)

  • 1–2 tbsp cacao powder (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prep the beef foot:
    – Rinse under cold water.
    – If not pre-cut, ask your butcher to cut the beef foot into 2–3 chunks for easier cooking.

  2. Pressure cook:
    – Add the beef foot, cinnamon stick, and water to your pressure cooker or Instant Pot.
    – Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 90 minutes.
    – Let the pressure release naturally (about 20–30 minutes).

  3. Remove bones and cinnamon:
    – Carefully open the lid.
    – Remove and discard the cinnamon stick.
    – Use tongs to remove the beef bones, leaving the liquid and soft tissue in the pot.

  4. Blend:
    – Transfer the cooked liquid and soft tissue to a blender.
    – Add honey and cacao powder to taste.
    – Blend until smooth.

  5. Serve:
    – Serve warm for a rich, nourishing cacao drink.
    – Or chill in the fridge — it will set like Jell-O thanks to the natural collagen.

Tips

  • The cinnamon adds flavor but can be left out if preferred.

  • Adjust honey and cacao to your taste — start small and build up.

  • This blend is packed with collagen and great for skin, joints, and gut health.

  • Store in the fridge up to 4 days. It thickens when cold — reheat or enjoy as a gelatin-style snack.
