Homemade Almond Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw almonds

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Soak Almonds: Soak almonds in water for 8-12 hours or overnight.

  2. Rinse and Blend: Drain and rinse almonds. Blend them with 4 cups fresh water until smooth and creamy (about 1-2 minutes).

  3. Strain Milk: Strain the almond milk using a nut milk bag or clean cloth into a large bowl, pressing to extract all liquid.

  4. Flavor Milk: Stir in honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until well mixed.

  5. Store: Transfer to a sealed bottle or container and refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Tips:

  • Use Almond Pulp: Incorporate leftover almond pulp into smoothies, breads, or cakes.

  • Shake Before Use: Almond milk naturally separates; shake well before serving.
